Met Eireann issue Status Yellow “snow and ice” weather warning for Wexford

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning…

Wexford, along with several other counties in Leinster and Munster, will be impacted by the Status Yellow weather warning.

The Irish weather, Met Eireann, forecaster has predicted that there “a band of rain will continue to move southwards, turning to sleet and snow in places.”

The weather snow and ice warning is in place for Wexford from Friday at 12 noon until Friday at 6pm.

Some impacts include ‘poor visibility’, ‘icy stretches on untreated surfaces’ and ‘hazardous travelling conditions’ for motorists.

Along side Wexford, the status yellow snow and ice weather warning has also been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, and the province of Munster.

Meanwhile, a seperate ‘ice warning’ is in place for Wexford from 6pm on Friday 1st March until 9am on Saturday morning, 2nd March.
