All you need to know ahead of Wexford’s clash with Cork on Saturday

Wexford will take on Cork this weekend in the Allianz Hurling League...

After an excellent win against Waterford last weekend, Wexford’s attention now quickly turns to hosting the Rebels, Cork, on Saturday.

A win could see Wexford placed in the semi-finals of the National Hurling League, depending on other results.

Here, we’ll go through all the basic details you need to know ahead of the game.

What day/date?

Saturday, March 16th.

What time is throw-in?

Throw in is at 3:00pm

Where is it taking place?

It’s a home clash for Wexford. Chadwicks Wexford Park will be hosting the game.

What are the betting odds?

Once again, Wexford go into this game as underdogs. Wexford are 15/8, while Cork are 1/2.

Is it important for Wexford?

Wexford have secured Division 1A status for 2025 after their win over Waterford. However, a win over Cork in Chadwicks Wexford Park next Saturday (March 16th) may see us qualify for the League semi-finals, depending on the results and winning margins in other matches. Next Saturday’s other fixtures in our group are Waterford v Kilkenny, and Offaly v Clare.

What are the teams?

Wexford’s team has not been named yet, but it will be added to this article once the team is released to the media.

What are the big match ups and who should I keep a close eye on?

No, it is not on television.

Is it on the radio?

Liam Spratt and the lads over South East Radio will be broadcasting the game live.

Where can I get tickets? And how much?

Tickets for our match vs Cork are available for purchase here and in the usual SuperValu and Centra stores. They cost €20 for adults and €15 for students/OAPs. U16s go free and do not require a ticket.
