All you need to know ahead of the Wexford vs Dublin Leinster Senior hurling clash this weekend

There’s a bit of excitement brewing in the air ahead of this weekend…

That’s because the Wexford Senior hurling team will take on Dublin in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

Here, we’ll go through all the basic details you need to know ahead of the clash.

It’s a home clash in Wexford Park.

When is it on?

Sunday April 21st, with throw-in at 2pm.

What’s it in?

It’s the first round of the Leinster Senior hurling championship.

What are the teams?

Wexford will be without Liam Ryan, Dee O’Keeffe and Charlie McGuckin who are all recovering from injuries. Keith Rossiter has since named his team.

Meanwhile, Dublin manager Micháel Donoghue has also named his side.

Is it on tv? Or is there a stream?

Tickets can be purchased online via Ticketmaster. They can also be purchased at participating SuperValu and Centra stores. There are no ticket vans at the venue. Tickets cost 15 euro for the uncovered (open sides) and then 25 euro for the covered stand.

Previous Championship Results:

In previous years, the games have been incredibly close, with just a puck of the ball between them in the previous two Leinster Championship encounters. Perhaps, the main reason why Wexford enter this clash as favourites is due to their home advantage and their previous Allianz Hurling League results.

Wexford will open their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship campaign to Dublin on Sunday at 2pm. A large crowd is expected and Wexford manager Keith Rossiter has called on Wexford hurling supporters to get behind the team as the Championship looms.
