The Spring Jumps season continues at Wexford on Friday with a seven race offering at the track…
The action kicks off at 3.45pm with a maiden hurdle contest, before the card comes to a close at 7.00pm with a big-field handicap chase to bring proceedings to a close.

The meeting kicks off at 3.45 with a ten-runner maiden hurdle over two and a half miles. Kish bank, trained by Gordon Elliott, arrives here off the back of two creditable runners-up efforts, clear of the rest last time out at Fairyhouse and looks to be the one to beat in the opener as he should benefit from the step up in trip.
Race two on the Wexford card sees a big field of 17 head to the post for the two and a half mile maiden hurdle (4.20). Full Of Life ran her best race to date when third at Leopardstown last month and she can get her head in front over hurdles for the first time for trainer Henry De Bromhead. Clody Diamond was well-backed when shaping better than the bare result last time, while She’ll Be Kept could step forward on her first start for new connections.
Thirteen runners will head to post for the three-mile novice hurdle to mark the third race on the Wexford card (4.55). Birmingham Alabama is a three-time winner this season, including a career-best when landing a Leopardstown handicap hurdle last time out and can defy a 4lb hike in the weights for that success to follow-up.
A field of nine will head to post for the two-mile beginners chase at 5.30pm. Trainer De Bromhead holds another strong hand here with Aspire Tower, a useful chase that was third of six in a minor hurdle contest 33 days ago and switches back to the bigger obstacles so a chance is taken for him to open his account. Westport Cove is feared most from the powerful Willie Mullins yard, a good second of 15 last time out at Thurles.
Up next is a two mile and three furlong novice handicap chase for horses aged five and older (6.00). The Tom O’Brien-trained Magnor Glory looks the way to go here, off for seven months but has to be taken seriously on handicap debut and dropping down to a more suitable trip than when last seen struggling over longer at Killarney.
Rebel Gold confirmed himself in good nick when finding only an upwardly-mobile seven-year-old too strong at Gowran four weeks ago and a repeat should see him play a lead role back up in trip as he tackles the veteran handicap chase to mark the penultimate race on the Wexford card (6.30).
Finally, the card comes to a close at 7.00 with a two-mile and three furlong handicap chase for horses rated under 100. Preference in the finale heads the way of Siberian Star for the Peter and Mark Bowen team, back in Ireland having arrived second in a handicap chase in England at Sedgefield last time out.
