A brand-new celebration of music, food, and heritage is set to arrive in Wexford this summer…
Taking place from August 1st to 5th, 2026, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the five-day event promises to blend the best of live entertainment with the rich traditions of the harvest season.
Organisers are positioning the festival as a family-friendly gathering that goes beyond music, offering a full sensory experience rooted in community and culture.
Festivalgoers can expect five days of live music performances, alongside a vibrant food offering that will keep visitors fuelled throughout the weekend.
All of this will take place at The Coal Bunker, a popular local venue known for its lively atmosphere and strong community ties, as the eagerly anticipated Harvest Music Festival makes its debut.
What truly sets the event apart is its celebration of tradition, with live demonstrations of traditional harvest threshing bringing a unique and authentic rural charm to the experience.
The festival is designed with camper van users in mind, offering a camper-friendly setup so attendees can stay on-site and fully immerse themselves in the experience. A courtesy bus will also run daily, making it easy for visitors to travel to and from the festival grounds.
Larry Coleman, owner of The Coal Bunker, shared his excitement about the upcoming event:
“Something special is coming to The Coal Bunker this August bank holiday weekend as we bring the spirit of the harvest season to life with 5 fantastic days of music, food and tradition. Get ready for the sound of live music filling the air, the smell of great food being served all weekend, and the excitement of traditional harvest threshing adding a real touch of heritage to the festival. With a camper van friendly welcome, you can park up, stay close to the action, and enjoy every moment of the festival. It’s set to be a brilliant celebration of music, local tradition, great food all in one place,” he said.

With its mix of entertainment, heritage, and community spirit, the Harvest Music Festival looks set to become a standout addition to Wexford’s summer calendar.
Organisers are encouraging people to mark their calendars early as it’s one date that promises not to be missed.
It’s not the only new music festival to arrive in Wexford either. Last year, The Bunker Bash took place in The Bunker Bar in The Rock, just outside Gorey — and this year’s event is already shaping up to be another roaring success.
It’s great to see pubs and entertainment venues taking their own initiatives and setting up events like this for the local public.
