Two Wexford businesses win awards at 2025 Irish Take-away Awards

The Irish take-away awards took place last night…

The awards ceremony, which aims to promote the best of Irish take-aways, took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sligo on Monday night.

Two Wexford businesses came away from the night with awards.

Wexford-town based Cafolla’s were nominated in a range of different categories. The popular Wexford town take-away, best known locally for their rissoles, emerged with two awards. They won the Chicken Burger of the Year in the Leinster category. Their second win was an interesting one: Cafolla’s also won the National Spice Bag of the Year for 2025.

Another Wexford business, The Holy Grail in New Ross, County Wexford, won an award at the Irish take-away awards too. They won an award for “World food take-away of the year” in the Leinster category along with a highly commended award for “Vegetarian Takeaway Award.”

It’s great to see Wexford businesses winning awards on the provincial and national stage. Competitions, awards ceremonies, and good press like this no doubt helps to secure more footfall to their premises.
