Due to the adverse weather conditions of Storm Emma that hit the country, the Allianz hurling and football leagues were postponed.
Including in the postponement was the eagerly anticipated clash between Kilkenny and Wexford in Nowlan Park.
After communication with the GAA, they have stated that “Round 5 of the Allianz Hurling League will now take place next weekend (March 10/11).”
In turn, this also puts back the entire Division 1 NHL. The quarter-finals will move to the weekend of March 17/18, the semi-finals to the weekend of March 24/25, while the final is due to take place on March 31st.
