Preparations For Semi-Final Going Well As Two Players Close To Returning To Full Fitness

Wexford’s preparations for the All-Ireland Hurling semi-final are going well…

The Wexford Senior Hurlers undertook an intensive training camp in PortLaoise and Wexford fans will be delighted to hear that the focus has swiftly changed to the looming All-Ireland semi-final.

The Yellowbellies will face Tipperary on July 28 in Croke Park, but unlike the Leinster final, this time Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald has the option of another three players that could easily slide into the starting fifteen.

Bunclody’s Aidan Nolan could return to action, after he won his appeal and got his red card rescinded. While, in other news, Adamstown’s James Breen and Oylegate’s Damien Reck have been training with the squad and are close to full fitness.

These three options are a timely boost for the Wexford hurlers, as they prepare for an All-Ireland semi-fina clashl for the first time since 2007. A win against the Premier County would see the Yellowbellies face either Kilkenny or Limerick in the All-Ireland final.
