Bomb Disposal Unit Called After Two Suspected Bombs Found In Wexford

That definitely wasn’t a headline we thought we’d be writing…

According to a report on South East Radio today, Ireland’s Army Bomb Disposal Unit were called to a house in the Kilmuckridge/Oulart area this evening.

Gardai were first called to the house this morning. Local Gardai at the scene then called the Army’s bomb disposal unit.

Two suspect devices were found and the area is still cornered off. The Wexford People have reported that they are suspected WW2 bombs and that one of the devices may still be live.

The Wexford People have reported that the suspected devices were also being used as garden ornaments.

It is expected that as a precautionary, the bomb squad will safely blow up the two devices later this evening.
