How are Wexford doing in the League?
It has been a dream start for the Wexford Senior footballers. Wexford could not be doing any better in this year’s Allianz Football League campaign. With four games played, John Hegarty’s charges have won all four games. They defeated London, Carlow Limerick, and Waterford. They sit at the top of the Division 4 Allianz League table. Wexford’s priority for the year is to secure promotion – and that aim is still in sight, being on the right track so far. This game against Wicklow, however, will be no easy game. Wicklow are also doing very well in the Allianz League campaign, with wins over Waterford, Longford, and Carlow. If Wexford defeat Wicklow this weekend, they will be promoted to Division 3. That’s because closest rivals Wicklow and Limerick have yet to play each other, so 10 League points will be enough to secure Div. 3 football for us next year.
