Wexford To Face Galway In The Allianz League Quarter-Finals

The Wexford hurlers enjoyed a well deserved break from competitive action this weekend…

After compfortably defeating Carlow in the final round, the Yellowbellies finished in second-place on the table behind Clare. That meant that, in the quarter-final, Fitzgerald’s charges would play whoever finished in third-place of the other group.

With Galway getting a result against Tipperary today, the Tribesmen\ finished in third-place, setting up an intriguing encounter against the Model County.

A coin toss will decide who has home advantage next weekend.

The last time the two sides met was in this year’s Walsh Cup, when a long-range Paudie Foley point from the sideline in the dying seconds secured silverware and a memorable comeback win against the Tribesmen.
