Beautiful Wexford The Latest To Feature On RTE’s Tracks And Trails

The beautiful Wexford was the latest county to feature on RTE’s ‘Tracks and Trails’..

Keen traveller and Irish Independent Travel Editor Pól O Conghaile explored Co Wexford in RTE One’s latest Tracks and Trails programme which aired on Friday evening.

O’Conghaile started in Ferrycarrig and traced a route that is full of stories spanning more than 10,000 years of Ireland’s history.

Some great drone imagery can be seen throughout the documentary, with the drone footage at Carrigfoyle Quarry being particularly eye-catching and compelling.

RTE viewers from across Ireland were left impressed with the scenery and some of the hidden beauties Wexford has to offer.

Viewers also highlighted how lucky we are to live in Wexford, while others appreciated the insights into Norman and Revolutionary history.

With many Covid-19 restrictions now lifted and with people now able to travel to Wexford and the Sunny South East, the airing of this programme was perfectly timed as we now hit tourist season.

If you missed out on Wexford’s feature on Tracks and Trails, you can catch up and watch it now via the RTE Player.
