Wexford football great Mattie Forde featured on #OurGame this evening.
When asked if other rival counties tried to poach him, Forde interestingly replied.
“I got an interesting offer from Meath, around 2004. It was a little bit second hand. I just laughed it off at the time to be honest.”
“I didn’t get the whole details of it – but there was a few different figures mentioned. Around 2004, there wasn’t a whole lot of expectation in Wexford – but I wasn’t going to play anywhere else.”
